The hiring processes of the USPS

If you are looking for a post office, employment must be of legal age. This means that one of the USPS hiring processes is for you to be 18 years old.

There are, however, certain exceptions to this rule. If you have already graduated from high school or completed your high school education for valid reasons, you are eligible to apply at 16.

Postal workers are typically assigned to jobs that require them to stand for long periods. Some USPS employees are required to stand. Employees who are needed to drive as part of their job must be at least 18 years old and have a valid, spotless driver’s license is another part of the USPS hiring process.

Job postings in the United States Postal Service always include specific job qualifications. Applicants for postal jobs should print or save the job notice that interests them.

Citizenship minimum requirement for post office employee

This is another hiring process of the USPS.

You don’t need to be a citizen of the United States, American Samoa, or any other US-controlled territory.

Applicants who have a residency status as permanent alien residents can apply (Green Card). Non-citizens with a Green Card have the legal right to work and live in the United States.
