LinkedIn’s Company Follow feature allows companies to keep up with the latest developments in their industry and connect with other professionals and businesses they know, like, or want to know.

It’s an effective way to market your business and stay on top of what’s happening in your niche.

So How Do You Use LinkedIn Company Follow? 

So how do you use LinkedIn Company Follow?

Step 1:

  • Head over to the LinkedIn official page.
  • Sign in if you are already registered.
  • Navigate to the page of the Company you want to follow. 

If you are on your account, click on follow at the top right corner of the screen. 

If you are viewing a post on your Company’s page, click follow at the bottom of the post. 

Step 2: 

Click yes when asked if you want to add this Company as a follower. 

Once followed, you will receive updates from that Company in your newsfeed and notifications. 

You can also like or comment on their posts without following them! Simply scroll down until you see ‘like’ under the post. Then, hover over it and click like. 

You’ll be notified in your feed the next time they publish a post. 

The Benefits of Following a Company

When you follow a company on LinkedIn, you receive updates about that Company in your newsfeed. 

This can be beneficial in several ways. First, you can stay up-to-date on industry news and trends. 

Second, you can learn more about the Company’s culture, values, and mission. 

Third, following a company can help you network with employees of that organization. 

Finally, it shows that you’re interested in the Company and could be a valuable asset to their team. 

It’s also important to remember that when you like a post about a company, people will see this as an endorsement of that Company. 

For example, if I like a company’s post announcing they’ve made Fortune Magazine’s list of top workplaces for women.

These other professionals are following that Company might then visit the profile and consider whether they want to work there too. 

If I am looking for a new job, my likelihood of applying to that Company increases dramatically because of the connection. 

On the flip side, if I don’t have any connections to that Company but liked one of their posts, I’m much more likely to apply.

How to Unfollow, a Company

You can follow companies on LinkedIn to receive updates about their products or services, new hires, and other company news. 

If you no longer want to receive these updates, you can unfollow the Company. Here’s how: 

1. Visit the Company’s profile page. 

2. Hover over the Following button and select Unfollow from the drop-down menu. 

3. In the pop-up window, click Confirm to confirm that you want to unfollow the Company. 

Once this is done, you will not see any of their posts in your feed unless they post a public update.

What Happens When I Follow a Company on LinkedIn?

When you follow a company on LinkedIn, you’ll see their updates in your homepage feed. 

You can also choose to get notifications whenever the Company posts something new, so you’ll never miss an update. 

Plus, following a company is a great way to support them and stay connected to what’s going on in your industry.

Note: If you have an account with that Company, you will be able to see updates from them in your Home feed and any posts you are connected with from that Company. 

If you don’t have an account with that Company, but know someone who does, ask them for permission to connect with them through your connection request so you can be updated about what’s happening at their workplace.
