Anyone can use LinkedIn to look for suitable employment in a different field.  

Because you may have many connections on LinkedIn, you may come across job vacancies that are of interest to some of them.

LinkedIn lets you post job vacancies with your connections and/or friends who use other social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, and others.

You can also email the job to others by including their email addresses.

How to Share a Job Posting on LinkedIn

These are the steps to share a job posting on LinkedIn on the App.

1. Start by Launching the LinkedIn Application 

The App with the blue ‘in’ icon is what you’re looking for. 

If you don’t already have a LinkedIn account, download the App and sign in. 

LinkedIn is available on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iPhones.

2. Select the Jobs Option From the Drop-Down Menu

The button in the bottom-right corner that looks like a suitcase is it. 

3. Select a Job From the List

You can use the search box at the top of the screen to search j jobs by name, category, or firm, or you can browse jobs that are recommended to you on the feed. 

4. Select the Share Option From the Menu

It’s near the top of the screen in the upper-right corner, adjacent to the search bar. This will provide a pop-up window with apps for sharing the job posting. 

It’s the button with a three-dot icon joined by a line on Android. 

It’s the square with an arrow pointing up on the iPhone and iPad.

5. Select the App With Which You Wish to Share It

This might be any app you want to use to share the job ad or send the job posting to someone. It could be an email client, a messenger app, a text messaging app, or a social media client. 

6. Choose a Recipient

If you’re sending the job posting through email, insert the recipient’s email address in the “To:” field. If you’re sending a text message with the job ad, insert the recipient’s phone number in the “To:” section.

Select a contact in instant messenger. Use the pulldown menu on social media to share the job posting with a friend’s timeline, or simply publish it on your wall.

Create a message. In the App’s message box, you can write a short message. 

Send the message by using the Send button. Depending on the program, the send button may say “Post,” “Share,” or something else. The job posting will be sent to the App or person you chose.

How to Share a Job Posting on LinkedIn Using Web Browser 

1. Open a Web Browser and Navigate To https://www.linkedin.com. 

On a PC or Mac, you can use any web browser. 

If you aren’t logged in automatically, enter your LinkedIn email address and password at the top of the page. 

2. Click Jobs Is an Online Job Board

 It’s right at the top of the page. It’s the button with the suitcase icon. 

3. Look Through the Available Positions

You can look through recommended opportunities in the “Jobs you may be interested in” area or use the search box at the top to look for jobs by name, title, category, or firm. To search for jobs by location, use the second search bar.

4. Choose a Task That You’d Like to Share With Others

 This will show the job specifics, including any further information or needs. 

5. Click the Share Icon to Share Your Work 

The icon that looks like a curved arrow is the share button. A drop-down menu with some sharing choices will appear. A job posting can be shared on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and other social media platforms. 

6. Choose a Social Networking Site 

This will create a pop-up window with the social networking platform’s posting box.

7. Publish a Message (Optional) 

You can type a short note in response to the post if you’d like. 

You can share on a friend’s timeline, in a group, or a private message by using the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of Facebook. 

On LinkedIn, you may select “Send to an individual” from the drop-down menu and type in the name of a connection and a brief personal note.

8. Press the “Post” Button 

This will publish the job advertisement on the previously specified social media sites. 

To submit the job posting on Twitter, click “Tweet.” 

To submit the post, go to LinkedIn and select “Share.”
