Nigeria Records 1st Coronavirus Death – Prior to this time, COVID-19 was known to be a bit far from us. But currently, the issue has become a national epidemic.

Nigeria Records 1st Coronavirus Death

On 23rd of March 2020 the first COVID19 death was recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced this on their twitter handle.

The 1st death from #COVID19 in Nigeria has been recorded. The case was a 67-year-old male who returned following a medical procedure in UK

He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma & diabetes, and was undergoing chemotherapy

Our thoughts are with his family.
