Lagos State Agripreneurship Training Program 2024 Application

Call For Applications: Lagos State Agripreneurship Training Program

The Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (L.A.P.) stands as a beacon of hope, designed to introduce young individuals to the realm of agriculture through modern techniques and practices, fostering both employment opportunities and wealth creation.

Recognizing agriculture as a pivotal force in many economies, often constituting a significant portion of GDP, especially in developing nations, it becomes imperative to harness its potential for youth employment. With an aging demographic in the agricultural sector, averaging around 60 years old, there’s a pressing need for inclusive strategies to involve the younger generation in food production. Lagos, mindful of this necessity, has launched initiatives through its Ministry of Agriculture aimed at bridging the gap and overcoming barriers hindering youth participation in agriculture, such as limited access to finance, land, markets, and training.
