Each year, the event takes place over four exciting days in Paris, creating Europe’s largest technology and startup event. VivaTech explores disruptive topics in tech through world-premiere demos, launches, and conferences, fostering collaboration in an ecosystem where business meets innovation. The eighth edition of VivaTech will be held from May 22-25, 2024.
AfricaTech Awards:
VivaTech organizes the third edition of the AfricaTech Awards, a pan-African initiative recognizing startups making positive impacts in key areas: Climate Tech, Health Tech, E-commerce & FinTech. These awards aim to provide opportunities for emerging startups in Africa, facilitating networking, mentoring, and support from tech leaders, investors, policymakers, and institutions.
Challenges:
- Climate Tech Challenge: Solutions to reduce emissions, protect the environment, and enhance climate resilience.
- E-commerce & FinTech Challenge: Solutions driving economic development in African countries through e-commerce and finance.
- Health Tech Challenge: Solutions expanding healthcare access, reducing costs, and fostering innovation in the healthcare sector.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Majority of the team based in Africa or serving African markets.
- Solution or product addressing the African market.
- Raised between USD 200K and USD 20M in capital.
- Addressing one of the specified themes: Climate Tech, E-commerce, FinTech, or Health Tech.
