The Village Capital Greentech investment-readiness accelerator, Greentech 2024: The Future of Sustainability, is dedicated to advancing innovative and sustainable solutions that actively combat climate change and bolster resilience across Africa. Supported by Moody’s Foundation, this program in Africa prioritizes startups led by diverse teams and/or hailing from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, with a focus on promoting sustainable solutions for underserved communities.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a for-profit entity legally incorporated and operating in one or more of the following African countries: Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa.
  • Offer a market-based tech solution addressing the listed challenges within these countries.
  • Comply with local fiscal and business regulations.
  • Possess at least a minimum viable product (MVP), with some traction and less than USD 1M in equity raised.
  • Demonstrate significant customer or business validation, including successful pilot studies, user base, or strategic partnerships.
  • Have at least one full-time founder located in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, or South Africa.
