Call For Applications: Sanofi Foundations 2025 Climate Action & Health Resilience Grants for African NGOs (Up to €100,000 Funding)

African community-based organizations and NGOs working in climate and public health now have a major funding opportunity as Foundation S – the Sanofi Global Health Program launches the 2025 Climate Action & Health Resilience Grants.

The program supports locally led initiatives reducing health risks linked to extreme heat, air pollution, and climate-driven challenges, especially impacting women, youth, and vulnerable communities.

With grants of €50,000–€100,000 per year, this opportunity is designed to scale grassroots solutions that strengthen health systems and build climate resilience across Africa and Asia.

 Key Focus Areas

Projects must address one or both priority pillars:

  • Community health system strengthening to anticipate & respond to heat and air pollution
  • Leveraging science, data, technology, early-warning systems, & AI for climate-health adaptation

Initiatives must promote equity, inclusion, and local leadership, especially for women and youth.

 Funding Benefits

  • €50,000 – €100,000 per project per year
  • Funding duration: 12–24 months
  • Possible 12-month extension
  • 80% of budget must be implemented locally

 Eligible Countries (Africa)

Projects in the following African nations are eligible:

Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe

Also eligible (Asia): Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan

 Who Can Apply

  • Community-based organisations
  • Local NGOs or CSOs
  • National & international NGOs with proven local engagement

Priority goes to: ✔ Women- and youth-led initiatives
✔ First-time applicants to Foundation S
✔ Projects with government collaboration
✔ Scalable & sustainable solutions
