Call For Applications: Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 4 ($50,000 grant)

At Deloitte, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for 100 million people by 2030, fostering job skills development, enhancing educational outcomes, and providing access for individuals from underrepresented and marginalized groups globally.

Aligned with this commitment, Deloitte proudly supports the Lead2030 Challenge for SDG4 for the fifth year. In collaboration, we aim to expedite innovative youth-led solutions, working towards achieving inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all.

In pursuit of Deloitte’s vision to prepare 100 million futures for a world of opportunities by 2030, this challenge seeks to endorse scalable youth-led solutions that:

  1. Utilize innovative approaches and technology
  2. Address the root causes of the issue
  3. Demonstrate the ability to drive impact and potential for scale
  4. Recognize existing efforts and collaborate with others to accelerate impact
  5. Facilitate opportunities for collective impact by engaging a wide range of stakeholders
  6. Improve the quality of, or access to, education and skills training that prepares young people to succeed

Prize:

The winning solution will receive:

  • Sponsorship to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024
  • A US$50,000 grant from Deloitte
  • 12 months of mentorship from a team of Deloitte professionals and partners, focusing on areas such as business strategy, best practices for data collection, monitoring and evaluation, and product design.

Eligibility:

  1. The solution is evidently aligned with the SDG4 challenge.
  2. Founded by a person aged 18 – 30.
  3. Well-structured time horizon, identified key stakeholders and beneficiaries, and proposed outcomes that are reasonable and well thought out.
  4. The solution is readily available, being piloted, implemented, or scaled.
  5. Solutions must have a positive social impact, such as generating educational outcomes, employment opportunities, or developing skills.
  6. The solution’s impact in society must be adequately measured and/or measurable.
  7. Must be able to achieve efficiency and survive independently through the resources they generate and/or the investments and donations they attract.
  8. Potential to grow impact after expanding in scope or size and/or into other regions.
