We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Workshop Mechanical Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Manage mechanical workshop and maintenance of all plantation vehicles such as farm tractors & trailers, excavators, grader, compactor, trucks and gen sets.
- Supervising the maintenance of equipments.
- Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdown.
- Develop and prepare weekly and monthly reports as workshop activities and performances.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams and ensure optimal equipment availability.
- Manage workshop’s performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage computerised record for stock holding of spares and materials and minimise downtime.
- Ensure continuous improvements by implanting workshop and maintenance best practices.
- Monitor and manage team and individual performance daily against minimum standards and targets.
- leads process improvement initiatives and reviews maintenance, operations and safety audit findings to make informed decisions for improvements.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the management in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
- B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance (Plantation Machineries).
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, analytical and resourceful in managing diverse workshop operations and fleet maintenance.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, Knowledge of Micro soft Offices e.g. MS Word, MS Excel.
