Job Summary
- We are looking for for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist who will be responsible in extracting value from our data and creating artificial intelligence products. You will lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, to training models and deploying them to production. Ideal candidate will also be responsible in creating machine learning models and retraining systems.
Responsibilities
- Identifying valuable data sources and automating data collection processes.
- Studying and transforming data science prototypes as well as designing machine learning systems
- Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
- Run machine learning tests and experiments
- Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
- Train and retrain systems when necessary
- Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
- Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Combine models through ensemble modelling
- Present information using data visualization techniques.
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
Requirements
- B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or relevant field.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Data Analyst.
- Expert in python and strong math and statistics skills.
- Strong experience with machine learning algorithms in the areas of NLP, NLU, text analysis, forecasting, and named entity recognition.
- Rest API using Flask.
- Cloud computing with AWS.
- Containers (Docker) and Container Orchestration Framework (Kubernetes).
- Workflow scheduler (Airflow).
- Machine Learning Model lifecycle management using Mlflow, and Kubeflow.
- Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, or AWS Neptune) is a plus.
- Expert in transformer models (BERT).
- Experience with NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn.
- Expert in any of the following deep learning frameworks: pytorch, TensorFlow, keras, or MXNet.
Salary
N1,000,000 – N1,200,000 / month.
