Job Title: Senior Backend Developer

Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side components of our Services.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust and scalable backend systems using PHP, MySQL, Node.js, and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Develop and maintain APIs and web services to support front-end functionalities.
- Implement security and data protection measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user information.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on our development stack.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow professionally.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 5+ years relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies, like Docker, and experience with container orchestration platforms is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a focus on PHP, MySQL, Node.js, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of frameworks, such as Slim or Express.
- Proficiency in database design and query optimization using MySQL and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Redis.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and web services.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Salary
N500,000 – N550,000 Monthly.
