UAC Restaurants (UACR) pioneered QSR in Nigeria with the launch of Mr Bigg’s in 1986. Mr Biggs quickly became a household name and was particularly loved for its meals, delectable pastries, and confectionaries. In 2013, with the formation of a joint venture between UAC of Nigeria PLC (“UAC”) and Famous Brands Management Company (PTY) Limited (South Africa) (“Famous Brands”), UACR added another popular brand to its portfolio. “Debonairs Pizza”.

UACR brands enjoy increased presence in urban and sub-urban areas and Strong brand equity as with 605,000 transactions monthly. A growing network of suppliers and franchisees, UACR maintains warehouses and operations in 14 states across four geo-political zones in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Retail Sales Manager

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Responsibilities
The Retail Sales Manager (RSM) occupies the strategic position within the company, and is responsible for a range of activities, including:

  • Sale of Central Kitchen (CK) items to distributors, modern trade and other QSR businesses.
  • Establish and manage B2B sales relationship.
  • Provides leadership and retail sales activities for the business.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and to identify potential new markets.
  • Expand the sales reach of new and consumers/products into emerging digital and online platforms.
  • Maintains knowledge of market, competition, and best practices and trends in sales techniques and strategies.
  • Category management
  • Driving sales through maximizing team performance
  • Maximizing sales through effective merchandising
  • Making sure stocks levels are maintained.
  • Develops marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and/or introduce new products and services.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement of sales; designs and implements training, strategies, policies, goals, and other resources to maximize productivity and morale.
  • Schedules and directs regular sales meetings and events to share information, set and revise goals, and to increase morale.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop territories, sales quotas, and strategies.
  • Prepares and implements company-wide budget; monitors and approves expenses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.;
  • Professional qualifications e.g. Sales & Marketing certification is required.
  • Great attention to details and good analytical skills needed.
  • Excellent leadership, and communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills required.
  • A post graduate degree/MBA will be an added advantage.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Retail Sales, Business Development, Sales Management is required.
