Job Description

  • A non-profit organization based in Abuja is offering an internship opportunity in her Programs department. This internship position is a 3-month, VIRTUAL UNPAID internship.
  • This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person with strong writing skills who can manage multiple tasks. This individual is a team-player with an entrepreneurial spirit, willing to learn and able to manage multiple tasks while adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Depending on skillset, this individual will assist with developing program activities, report writing, monitoring and evaluation, project supervision, logistics coordination and other program and administrative support tasks as assigned. Interns must be resident in Abuja.
  • As no single applicant is likely to have all of the following skills, applicants with experience in program implementation, grant writing, supervision, monitoring and evaluation and show a willingness to expand their skillset should feel comfortable applying.

Responsibilities

Applicants will provide support in the following areas:

  • Maintain existing partnerships and grow the organization’s network of strategic partners
  • Maintain strong relationships with project partners around the world, providing technical assistance, appreciative coaching, listening and empathy throughout implementation
  • Routinely process grant applications and lead the review and evaluation of project design
  • Process and review progress and final project reports, providing feedback to project leaders in support of their participatory development practices while critically assessing every project for growth and sustainability
  • Data quality control for the organization’s online project management database and systems
  • Support and build on the organization’s monitoring and evaluation strategy and framework
  • Collect and analyze international projects data and prepare for use in promotional materials, publications, events, and other reports
  • Support organization-wide activities, events, and campaigns actively and as needed.

Education

  • Ideal candidate is a recent graduate (graduated within the past year) or an undergraduate / graduate student in Sociology, Social Work, International Development, Humanitarian Studies, or a Development-related field.
