Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Ikeja / Alimosho, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Carry out bank reconciliation analysis and periodic audit of departmental processes
- Present financial forecasts based on actual spend and the organization’s financial position
- Ensure prompt remittance and various statutory deduction i.e VAT, PAYE, Pension etc.
- Liaise with Tax Authorities, Auditors and other Regulatory bodies as regards preparation and filing of the Audited Financials and other Tax related matters.
- Liaise with Bank on Transaction rates and Foreign Translation rate
- Research and recommend financing alternatives, analyzing options and make recommendations
- Develop and consolidate the departmental and organization’s budget
- Monitor compliance in line with accepted accounting principles and company procedures
- Develop, maintain and implement financial internal controls, policies and procedures
- Develop and implement daily, monthly and cash forecasting models
- Performs other financial-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelors Degree
- ICAN, ACCA, ACA – qualified (Candidates in-view may be considered)
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including IFRS
- 4 – 7 years robust experience; of which 3 must be in a financial leadership role
- Hands-on experience with accounting software including MS Excel skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience with general ledger functions
- Strong experience/knowledge in Financial Reporting, Taxation and IFRS
- Ability to navigate through complex financial situations to maximize results
- Proximity to Ikeja/Alimosho will be an advantage.
