We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Purpose of Job
- The Data Analyst is responsible for identifying business trends and changes through advanced Big Data Analytics and using a variety of techniques to interpret results from multiple data sources through statistical analysis, data aggregation, and data mining.
Responsibilities
- Undertaking data collection, pre-processing and analysis
- Building models to address business problems
- Presenting information using data visualization techniques
- Combine models through ensemble modelling
- Present information using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
- Responsible for cleansing of large unstructured data and enabling analytical capability in order to query the data and address various business needs.
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
- Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Education / Professional Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum relevant degree
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years experience
Key Skills & Competencies Requirements:
Functional/ Technical:
- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra).
- Knowledge of Google Functions, Google Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Stitch Data.
- Understanding of machine learning and operations research
