AKTC Limited (Akwa Ibom Transport Company), one of the leading transport companies in Akwa-Ibom , was a state-owned transport company until Nsik Motors took over in 2005. Prior to that, Nsik Motors entered into an agreement with the former managers of AKTC to run the Uyo-Port Harcourt route exclusively. At this point, AKTC Limited already had operational set-backs and very low business turn-over. In a short while, Nsik Motors was able to revive the name and standard of Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited (AKTC) for the Uyo-Port Harcourt routes the company was operating.
Nsik Motors, headed by Mr Johnny Nsikan, the owner, began introducing air-conditioned buses into AKTC’s fleet and stayed true to its Quality, Safety and Comfort principle (QSC). This laid a strong foundation for Nsik Motors in acquiring AKTC in 2005. 2005 marked the beginning of a new era for AKTC Limited as the government of Akwa Ibom decided to lease the company due to dwindling fortunes and instability. Nsik Motors won the lease of AKTC limited and has since maintained an excellent standard of operation, providing top notch services which the Government of Akwa Ibom is proud of.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Coaster Bus Mechanic
Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time
Requirements
- SSCE qualification
- 5 – 12 years work experience
- Ability to asssemble a coaster bus engine and
- Ability to fix all mechanical issues in acoaster bus.
- Ability to diagnose faulty parts in a coaster bus
