Does Amazon Staff get paid weekly?

Amazon, like every organization, has its staff for proper effectiveness of Customer satisfaction. These staff does get paid, but how often are they paid? Do they get paid weekly?

“We see our customers as invited guests to a party and we are the hosts. It is our job every day to make every important aspect of the customer experience a little bit better.” Those were the exact words of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. But do you know, for a host to successfully host guests, there has to be a body of supporters (staff) who see to the successful experience of their invited guests (Customers)?

Before delving into if Amazon staff are paid weekly, let us delve a little into the organization itself.

What is Amazon?

Amazon is an International online retailer platform that deals in bookselling, music, movies, electronics, toys, housewares, etc. It is a company that produces an electronic book for readers and web-service provider of electronic commerce.

Jeff Bezos is one of its related founding founders since 1994 and to date, it keeps expanding. Its headquarter is in Seattle, California and it involves; E-commerce, Kindle, cloud computing, retailing, and simple storage service.

Like every other organization, there is the staff that enables productivity and effectiveness. This staff can only be productive when they are paid. How often are they paid?

Do they get paid weekly?

Amazon employers get paid weekly at least $15 per hour. The payment weekly started on the 9th of October 2020 due to the pandemic. Usually, the full-time get paid biweekly e.g Two weeks.

While the part-time get paid weekly. Being paid weekly also varies based on states, region, departments, etc. However, the payday usually is Fridays. Typically, upon signing up as a seller or staff, you get to know when you will be paid as it is usually included in the agreement.

If workers are paid weekly, they are expected to work hard for what they are being paid for.

What Do Amazon Staffs do?

Amazon staffs are into departments such as Corporate, Sales, Warehouse, Advertising, Human resources, Customer services, etc for productivity. Every human has their capacity, this capacity aids their falling into departments.

The staff also includes Drivers, delivery men, package sorters, etc. The staff who get paid weekly are recruited through Amazon Jobs. This requires you first to create an account, upload your CV, which is done majorly through Linkedin, you go through their online assessment,  homework, assignment, etc.

Aside from being paid weekly, there are other benefits for Amazon staff, which includes;

Health Benefits

This covers dental, vision, drugs, medical, and counseling services as well as health leave. This is because workers’ health is a priority.

Financial Benefits

It allows employers to buy shares as well as invest to build a great future for themselves and their families.

Parental Leave

It gives maximum support to its workers and their families by giving Birth mothers and parents who adopt different weeks of leave. There is a ramp-back program for birth mothers which helps them readjust to the working environment for eight weeks.

Other Benefits

It also includes benefits of life insurance, and they receive discounts.

Amazon is one of the fast-growing multinational companies that is rising alongside Google and Facebook. It is one of the great places to work due to its organized division of labor, numerous benefits and care to its staff as well as its generous pay. Like every company, it has its pros and cons, but its advantage outweighs its disadvantages. It is also known for its consistent time payment and employment opportunity.
