The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria was established as an umbrella Association for Practitioners of Personnel Management in 1968 as the Personnel Management Association of Nigeria. In 1973, it was renamed as Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. Finally, Act No 58 of 1992 chartered the Institute. We promote Excellence and Regulate the Ecosystem for People Management to Deliver Value for Sustainable Growth of Individuals, Organizations and Nations and our vision is to be the foremost People Management and Organizational Development Institute in Africa, respected across the World.

Eligibility
- Only undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions can participate.
Guidelines
The following standards must be met:
- Length: Not more than 3000 words
- Referencing: APA style(6th Edition)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 point font size
- Documentation: Typed in double line spacing: MS Word only
- Plagiarism: Plagiarized content will result in disqualification of the offender’s entry
Prizes
- First Prize: N125,000 + 2 HRM books
- Second Prize: N100,000 + 2 HRM books
- Third Prize: N75,000 + 2 HRM books.
General Prizes
- Access to network of employers for all winners
- Free registration as student members of CIPM (for non-members) for all prize winners
- All expenses paid trip to Port Harcourt for CIPM 2022 International Conference & Exhibitions.
