Operated by the Agency for Business & Economic Development (AWE) and Germany – Land of Ideas, AGYLE is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by GIZ and DEG Impulse.

Eligible candidates for AGYLE are young leaders, up to 40 years of age, from the fields of business, politics, or media, focusing on innovative solutions in the circular economy domain. Participants must hail from Ethiopia, Ghana, Rwanda, Senegal, Tunisia, or Germany, and should be willing to actively engage in the Young Leaders Alumni network.

The program offers several benefits, including participation in the AGYLE Live Week in Berlin in September 2024. This week-long event features inspiring activities such as panel discussions, interactive bar camps, targeted matchmaking formats, and insightful company visits.

Participants have the opportunity to collaborate in an intercultural setting, working with peers from Africa and Germany on challenges related to the circular economy. They also gain access to tailored leadership and personal development opportunities designed to enhance their skills and capabilities as young leaders.

Furthermore, AGYLE facilitates the forging of long-term connections, allowing participants to become part of an extensive business network and gain exclusive contacts in Germany and Africa. Regular virtual events provide ongoing professional insights and networking opportunities to keep participants engaged and informed.

The timeline for AGYLE includes an application period from February 27 to April 7, 2024, followed by a jury meeting and selection of AGYLE Young Leaders in May 2024.

The AGYLE Live Week in Berlin is scheduled for September 23 – 27, 2024, with the application deadline set for April 7, 2024.
