Job Title: Senior IT Governance Officer

About the Role
- Piggytech is looking to hire an IT Governance Officer, who will be responsible for developing and implementing IT governance best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to establish IT governance standards that support the organization’s strategic goals.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to ensure the organization’s IT systems remain relevant and effective.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they deliver high-quality services and support.
- Conduct regular IT audits based on guidelines outlined.
- Manage and monitor the IT operations, ensuring they are reliable, efficient, and secure.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures, and identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Perform vulnerability assessment and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses in the organization’s IT infrastructure and applications.
- Oversee the management of hardware, software, and other IT infrastructure components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of experience across the following IT roles (governance, operations, and cybersecurity) with a proven track record of success
- Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools and techniques
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), Cybercrime Act, and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines.
