Job Overview
- We are seeking for a Research and Development (R&D) Officer to join our organisation, the successful candidate will be responsible for researching new products, technologies, and processes that can help improve the company’s roofing and restoration services.
- You will also be responsible for developing new products and services that can meet the needs of customers and the market.
- As a Research and Development Officer, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and growth for the company, while building a rewarding career in this field and help shape the future of the roofing and restoration industry in Nigeria.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting market research: You will be responsible for conducting market research to identify new trends, customer needs, and areas of growth for the company. This will involve analysing data and trends, conducting surveys and focus groups, and keeping up to date with industry news and developments.
- Developing new products and services: Based on your market research, you will be responsible for developing new products and services that can meet the needs of customers and the market. This will involve working closely with the product development team, engineers, and designers to create prototypes and test new products.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities: As part of your role, you will also be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities and making recommendations for reducing production costs without compromising on quality.
- Building partnerships: You will also be responsible for building partnerships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the company is at the forefront of innovation in the roofing and restoration industry
- Improving existing products and services: You will also be responsible for improving existing products and services to make them more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. This will involve conducting research, testing new materials and technologies, and making recommendations for improvements.
Job Requirements
- A Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Materials Science, or Product Design.
- At least 2 years of experience in a research and development role, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
