About the Senior Backend Engineer Role
- We are looking to hire an analytical, results-driven Backend Engineer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current backend applications and processes.
- The Backend Engineer will use their understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.
- You should have excellent communication, and project management skills.
- To succeed in this role, you should be focused on building a better, more efficient program and creating a better end-user experience.
- You should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who will:
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Review and debug code.
- Perform validation and verification testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Document development phases and monitor systems.
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Ensure we build highly scalable server-side architecture.
- Direct software development projects.
- Produce, test, and debug code.
- Lead engineers and developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Nodejs, Javascript, PHP, Typescript and Golang, GCP.
- Knowledge of System design and system architecture.
- Fintech background is a plus (understanding of financial systems, lifecycle of money in a financial system).
- Knowledge of systems and their behaviors at scale.
- Knowledge of security measures for large-scale applications.
