About the Role
- BURN is looking for a Warehouse Manager who will supervise all activities of the facility, oversee team performance, expedite the receiving and shipping of goods, and ensure efficient and organized storage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all Receiving, Warehousing (both in-house and third Part / Consignment), and Dispatch operations.
- Manage all transactions into (Receipts) and out of (Shipments) the Microsoft NAV system
- Manage all Issuances to Production and all other Departments within the Microsoft NAV ERP system.
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce new and existing programs, and Personnel Policies and Procedures. across all BURN warehouses.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements in line with existing and new legislation.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and material by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Ascertain and update inventory levels by conducting cycle counts and updating the ERP system.
- Work with members of the Supply Chain team and management to ensure reliable inventory planning.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Assist top management to achieve financial objectives by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions that keep them to a minimum.
- Manage warehouse staff by recruiting and training employees.
- Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications as and when required or available.
- Ensure continuous improvement across all warehouse areas
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Business Administration.
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills.
