About the Job
- The responsibility of the Data Analyst is to provide support to the Business Performance Manager in the administration, communication, and coordinated reporting of Corporate Priorities through the organization.
- The individual will serve as the Subject Matter Expert in identifying and analyzing operational and financial data of the Sahara Group Ltd. In this highly visible role, the analyst interacts with senior management of the entity to lead information gathering and analysis while providing useful insight to improve performance.
What you’ll do:
- Design, implement and monitor the execution of corporate and departmental priorities.
- Collaborate with all teams to identify, collect, clean and analyze data from multiple data sources
- Build and manage dashboards for various stakeholders (both internal and external) that will help drive key business decisions
- Prepare ad-hoc reports specifically to measure, monitor, and alert the business regarding unforeseen shifts in the performance
- Cost Management: Responsible for framework (including integration with procurement and accounting), to drive continuous cost optimization and associated reporting
Requirements
- Minimum of a relevant University Degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods company, Financial services company, Oil & Gas, Telecoms or topflight creative agency, with well compiled portfolio
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
- Adept at SQL queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Strong visualization skills (Data storytelling) using any visualization tool such as PowerBI, Tableau, Mode, metabase etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and have a high level of comfort in making presentations to various stakeholders.
