We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Specialist
Location: Head Office, Lagos
Job Purpose
- Perform various accounting and administrative activities related to ensuring prompt processing of all billable costs of the company.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of fixed asset schedule and tagging of fixed assets on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Accounting of fixed asset movements; acquisition, transfer and disposals.
- Calculate and account for asset depreciation on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of journal vouchers, debit and credit notes and ensure vendors’ reconciliations.
- Monthly review of forex gain / loss and reconciliation of foreign vendors’ accounts.
- Accounting for Goods in Transit (GIT) with accurate and timely report preparation.
- Checking landing costs for accuracy before passing them on to the appropriate plants and properly accounting on a regular basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting or any other related field.
- Minimum of three years working experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of NAV Dynamics or any other ERP software and Microsoft Excel
- Membership of ICAN, or ACA is an added advantage.
- Required skills: strong numerical and analytical thinking.
