Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Description / Responsibilities

• We are looking for an astute procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. As a Procurement Officer with Earth Blend (The Juice Lab), your responsibilities include supervising juicers, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records.
• You are expected to have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends. Ultimately, you should be able to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards.

Procurement Officer Responsibilities

• Overseeing and supervising all activities of the purchasing unit.
• Preparing plans for the purchase of raw materials and supplies.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, prices, etc.
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
• Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
• Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and supplies to be purchased.
• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.

Requirements

• Degree in any of the social sciences
• 2+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Supervisory and management experience.
• Attention to details.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
