We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Investment Advisor
Location: Maryland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales by ensuring that prospective clients open accounts in addition to giving information to clients to enable them trade as often as possible.
- Write proposals and where necessary, go out for marketing after due consultation with the head of sales and document all outgoing proposals, profiles and other documents.
- Serve as a personal wealth creation partner to clients by helping them create a plan to achieve their goals while driving the business to profitability.
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets, reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.
- Dormant account reactivation by following up with clients to know their specific needs and helping them get back to investing.
- Make recommendations to prospective clients on the products and services available.
- Educate clients on different investment types, assess the level of aggressive required while making investment decisions as it relates to purchasing of stocks.
Educational Qualification and Functional Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following discipline (Business Administration, Marketing or Business Management), or management related course
- Knowledge of MS word, Excel, Presentation
- Aptitude in decision-making and negotiation skill
- Demonstrable interpersonal and relationship management skills at high level
- Environmental / Industry analysis
- Knowledge of business management principles and how to convert leads to sales.
- Communication skills; ability to use business language and mannerism
- Must be an enlightened and forward-thinking individual
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years track record as in sales and operations
- Experience using data to illustrate business conclusions
- Ideally 2 years prior experience working in the financial sector preferably stock brokerage
- Prior experience in relationship management.
