General Criteria for Startup Applications:

  • Maximum of 5 years in age (except for Best Newcomer and Best Venture Capitalist categories).
  • Founded and currently located in the participating country.
  • Minimum viable product (MVP) or service in the market.
  • Generating monthly recurring revenue.
  • Team of two or more members.
  • African-led, with at least one founder or co-founder from Africa residing on the continent.
  • All applications and pitches must be submitted in English.
