Federal Government Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG) ( ₦50 Million Award) is ongoing for applicants that are qualified for this grants.

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Education, has officially opened the portal for the Student Venture Capital Grant (S-VCG).
This program is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, created to support student innovators and help them transform their ideas into real, commercially viable businesses.

The goal of the S-VCG is to raise a new generation of young Nigerian innovators—students who can create solutions to both national and global problems using science, technology, and creativity.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

To qualify for the Student Venture Capital Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. You must be a Nigerian student

You must be currently enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria:

  • University
  • Polytechnic
  • College of Education

2. You must be working on an innovation

Your idea must be a solution that can address a major challenge—either in Nigeria or globally.

3. Your project must have potential

It should show clear potential for:

  • Scalability
  • Commercialization
  • Real-world impact

4. Your idea must fall under STEMM

All projects must be within the following areas:

Focus Areas (STEMM)

The S-VCG program supports innovations in:

  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Medical Sciences
