The Fellowship offered by the Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) is a prestigious opportunity aimed at women who have completed their PhDs in STEM fields and are employed at academic or scientific research institutes in Science and Technology Lagging Countries (STLCs).

This two-year program is designed to support Early Career fellows in establishing research environments at their institutions that meet international standards and foster collaboration with scholars worldwide.

Over the course of the fellowship, participants will enhance their leadership and management skills, forge connections with public and private sector partners to potentially commercialize their research or broaden its impact, and refine their communication and outreach abilities.

By effectively presenting their research to diverse audiences, fellows can attract new collaborators and potential funders, ensuring the sustainability of their projects. Additionally, by expanding the cohort of Early Career fellows, OWSD is building a network of exceptional women scientists who can serve as mentors and role models for future generations of female STEM leaders.
