Job Description

  • The role holder handles the provision of a customer-centric, responsive and cost-efficient warehouse that is aligned with the company’s current and long-term requirements.
  • You will be responsible for the leadership and direction of the team in achieving high customer service levels while also reducing costs through improved productivity and performance

Core Responsibilities
Your Core Responsibilities will include to:

  • Ensure that the warehouse is capable of delivering the volume requirements of the business.
  • Set the long-term vision for the warehouse in line with the strategic plan and to ensure that future volumes and customer service requirements can be met.
  • Prepare and implement logical organization of warehouse products to ensure successful operations.
  • Understand and implement the six basic principle of warehouse management: accuracy, cost control, cleanliness, efficiency, safety and security.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to include cycle counting and reporting guidelines, problem identification and resolution, and inventory control process improvements.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts; analyze inventory levels and product demand to determine reorder levels which will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs
  • Serve as key contributor in the area of warehouse and inventory optimization.
  • Develop and maintain a productive team
  • Develop and implement the process and procedures to guide the team

Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a similar role
  • Hands on experience with relevant tools and software including Microsoft Excel
  • This position must pass a post-offer background test
  • Knowledge of SOS inventory is an added advantage

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Ability to handle a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • You will frequently lift and move products weighing 30 kg and more.
  • You will also be required to regularly be on the move and remain active.
  • The physical demands described must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
  • Due to the nature of our business – overtime, attendance and punctuality are essential job functions.
