The Role

  • We are looking for an Interim Governance Manager who will complement the Governance Team – part of OI’s globally distributed Strategy and Feminist Futured Department – to manage the Oxfam International governance cycle and provide effective and efficient support and advice to Oxfam’s global governance components, including the Oxfam International Board and its Committees.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with prior understanding of governance, ideally in the non-governmental sector, at a time where a new and more diverse and inclusive global governance architecture continues to consolidate and evolve.

Who We’re Looking for

  • Effective negotiation abilities and informal leadership skills in a multi-stakeholder, networked environment.
  • Experience in running governance processes, including excellent minute-taking skills.
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of people, both internally and externally and at many levels, with tact and diplomacy and the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Demonstrable organizational and project management skills.
  • Competency in designing and delivering training, inductions, and written guides.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English required, with French, Spanish or Arabic an advantage.
