Job Responsibilities

  • Under strict supervision, responsible for properly packing, marking, labelling, and acquiring weight and dimensions for cargo.
  • Coordinates pre-shipping instructions and maintaining logs, files, and supporting documents.
  • Responsible for the domestic and international movement of goods in compliance with local and international law.
  • The role requires a basic understanding of the complete logistics process cycle to include the execution of proper documentation for domestic and international movement.
  • Must be knowledgable of all possible movements constraints and have knowledge of hazardous movements.
  • Demonstrates understanding of 1 or 2 modes of transport (ocean, air, land).
  • Will coordinate orders for shipment of cargo from point of origin to point of destination to ensure the product meets required delivery in the most efficient method while interfacing with the customers to keep them apprised for progress.
  • Job tasks performed correctly impact directly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability and/or operations.
  • The role requires the ability to assist F&A (finance and accounting) with validation of rates and charges on invoices.
  • This function will utilize SAP and other logistics systems to perform job duties, and ensure correct and timely movement.
  • Responsible for recording data measurement to help follow trends, in order to identify alternative ways to improve the moves and logistics services for the economic benefit of Halliburton.

Job Requirements

  • Requires completion of a 2-year degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems or Engineering. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Entry-level position. No previous experience required.
  • Basic procurement certification preferred.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must possess a strong desire to work and be a team player.
  • Experience in Warehouse environment a plus.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and communication skills.

Job Description

  • Under general supervision, responsible for leading local inventory planning meetings, setting and maintenance of material requirements planning (MRP) data, running analytics to optimize inventory levels, and identifying and redeploying obsolete inventory.
  • The role requires an understanding of inventory planning.
  • Responsible for the basic inventory management function for the area supported to include: sales order delivery process and reconciliation, reporting to PSL leadership key metrics, goods issue and receiving process and developing solutions to address gaps.
  • Will interface with procurement, logistics and manufacturing customer service representatives to prioritize orders, monitor lead times and provide forecast information.
  • The position requires interfaces with the product service lines (PSL) and other support groups.
  • This position will also promote Lean and continuous improvement initiatives and comply with the company’s safety programs.
  • Will have a direct impact and responsibility to meet financial goals and objectives for the business.

Requirements

  • Requires completion of a two-year degree; a four year Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering/Applied Math, Finance/Accounting or Business preferred.
  • Four years of related experience in a warehouse or operations environment or a four-year degree plus 2 years of work experience required.
  • Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems required.
  • Experience in Warehouse environment a plus.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and communication skills.
  • Basic procurement certification preferred.

Job Description

  • Under general supervision, compiles requests for materials, prepares purchase orders using defined buying channels, tracks purchases/supplies, and handles inquiries about orders utilizing established sources either through category management or locally defined suppliers.
  • Works with material coordinators/warehousemen to eliminate material constraints.
  • Resolves goods and invoice receipts issues and enlists supervisor’s or procurement specialist’s help when needed.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Performs duties as delegated with regards to selecting and qualifying suppliers for local needs that are not covered under category management.
  • May perform RFQ’s up to their procurement authority and assist in other areas as directed by Supervisor.
  • May lead in the development of less experienced buyers by providing direction, advice and counsel regarding procurement and material functions and administration.

Requirements

  • Skills are typically acquired through at least 3-6 years of related experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in applicable discipline preferred.
