Category A
Category A is companies ranked by the GTS. They are responsible for assessing requirements for foreign skilled talents.
Category A companies are usually big brands in Canada. Category A companies in Canada are assessed by some referral partners to manage the GTS program. It is compulsory for this set of companies to an annual salary of CAD 80,000 to foreign workers in their first two applications.
Category B
This set of companies are in search of high-quality foreign skilled workers who are rare to find in Canada. The professions in demand are:
- Digital media professionals
- IT analyst
- Computer engineers
- Software engineers
- Architecture and science managers
- Engineering managers
- Mathematicians and statisticians and others.
Getting a job as a foreign worker by applying directly to the GTS program isn’t applicable in the GTS system. You have to secure a job in the above-mentioned professions in Canada before it can be made possible.
Gaining permanent stay through GTS
You need to know the process to get a permanent stay in your dream country Canada. This is the stage that allows you to get a permanent resident permit.
It is expected that a maximum of two years is used to recruit foreign workers employed under the GTS scheme. After this is achieved, they can now apply for their Canadian permanent residency.
