FedEx Background Check

FedEx is a company recognized as the fastest package delivery service. FedEx originated in 1973 as a ‘federal express corporation’ by Fredrick W. Smith, who got the idea from an assignment given to him on delivery services when he was a Yale student.

In 1994, the company’s name was changed to the current FedEx it is popularly called today. At FedEx, there are several post vacancies.

Majority of which are for package handlers and truck loaders, position and customers service posts, and drivers.

The question now becomes, what are the cogent requirements for job application at FedEx, does FedEx do background checks, and can felons apply for a job at FedEx. In other words, does FedEx give a job to felons?

FedEx Background Check

It is generally known that the purpose for which a background check is conducted is to investigate the individual the company is about to hire — one of the crucial things companies check for is his criminal record and history.

Fortunately and unfortunately as the case may be, some companies, after discovering an applicant’s positive criminal history, automatically disqualify such.

However, the case is very different from FedEx’s background Policy. They can still go ahead with employing Felon.

Some might think that because they admit Felon for a job post should mean they do not check for background.

FedEx hiring felons does not mean they are unaware of the state of such. They carry out an adequate background check on every applicant, and despite this, they admit Felon into business.

This means that they are not ignorant that they have Felon as part of their workers in the company.

If this happens to be the case, how does the application in FedEx go?

Better still, how is it expected of a felon to undergo an application and other employment processes like background and still be qualified for employment.

What specifically does FedEx check for in an applicant’s background? And why does FedEx do background checks, and when do they perform the screening?

What Does FedEx Check for in an Applicant’s Background?

FedEx background test is just like other companies that conduct the same check on the background.

However, unlike companies that will try to check for applicants’ backgrounds and expect a qualifiable person to have passed or done well in the check before being granted the job, FedEx still hires applicants even after discovering the unpleasant background record.

FedEx is a company that has spread its wings to embrace and chance felons to have access to work even after knowing them as felons.

Why Does FedEx Do Background Checks?

Some may ask, since, after the check, they still end up hiring some felons, why do they engage in the check in the first place?

Smart question; however, FedEx is not just carefree about its act of hiring felons.

They carry out background checks to investigate and know the details about an individual criminal status if they check positive for criminal history.

The general name is Felon, but there are different reasons why each became a felon in the real sense.

This they study and still find some Felon that qualifies for the job post in their industry.

When Does FedEx Do Background Check?

It is important to be aware that FedEx will not check for all applicants. Expectedly, background check is expensive and demanding, so they only check considered candidates.

This is a level of assurance for the applicant that it is a higher possibility that he would be hired.

In a nutshell, FedEx would now waste their resources and energy on background checking who they are. It is ready to hire.

Moreover, some states do not permit companies to go beyond a certain year frame at which they can check for applicants’ backgrounds if they want to.

States like California, Colorado, and Kansas will not permit companies to check for convictions older than seven years, which means that FedEx and other companies that do background checks can not go beyond but within the seven years of an individual they want to check for.

Conclusion

FedEx is a Felon-friendly organization. In that, despite their background checks, they still employ Felon.

Therefore, a felon can consider FedEx a possible company to get a job if he can present himself well to the company and stay away from things that can make the company not consider such’s application or perhaps fire such if he has been employed.

Fons must be well conducted, demonstrate loyalty, and stay away from drugs or things that can stir up their disbelief in such.

These done, Felon can always find work in FedEx convenient and enjoyable.
