Call For Applications: Digital Forensic Research Lab Editorial Internship 2025 (Paid)

The rise of the internet and online social networks has altered the scope and scale at which people access, consume, and communicate information. But the same technologies that have democratized access to information have also enabled malicious actors who seek to undermine our democratic values and processes.

The Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) is a first of its kind organization with technical and policy expertise on disinformation, connective technologies, democracy, and the future of digital rights. Incubated at the Atlantic Council in 2016, the DFRLab is a field-builder, studying, defining, and informing approaches to the global information ecosystem and the technology that underpins it. They are an action-oriented team producing timely primary research, training an ecosystem of others who share their passion, and convening those on the front lines of our industry to elevate new ideas and chart a path forward.

The successful candidate will have a deep enthusiasm for, and belief in, the importance of the Lab’s work, an entrepreneurial ethos, and a collegial spirit while also being an effective editor. With a work culture of continual learning, an inclination toward deadlines, and a demonstrated interest in international affairs, as well as background in journalism, editing, or a related field through class work and/or experience is strongly preferred.
