The BudgIT Climate Champions Fellowship is a groundbreaking initiative designed to equip and empower fledgling organizations and leaders in Nigeria with the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to drive the campaign for a just energy transition and climate justice.
Fellowship Objectives:
- Build the capacity of young leaders and organizations to advocate for climate justice and a just energy transition
- Foster a community of practice among climate advocates and organizations in Nigeria
- Provide access to resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to support the growth and development of climate-focused organizations
- Amplify the voices and stories of marginalized communities affected by climate change
Fellowship Benefits:

Eligibility:
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Be between 25-40 years old
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working on climate-related issues
- Be affiliated with a registered non-profit organization or social enterprise focused on climate justice and energy transition
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to climate justice and energy transition
