Call For Applications: African Stars Fellowship YPP, (12 Months Advanced Training in Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Stipends with Placement in Industry)

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Young Professional Program (YPP), our flagship short fellowship initiative. This 12-month program is designed to provide advanced training in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with placement in industry.

Program Overview

The Young Professional Program (YPP) is a unique opportunity for aspiring innovators born in or based in Africa to bridge the gap between research and industry. This fellowship program aims to equip young professionals with the skills, knowledge, and expertise needed to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa.

Program Objectives

The objectives of the YPP are to:

  •  Provide advanced training in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship
  •  Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between research institutions and industry
  • Support the development of innovative solutions to address Africa’s economic and social challenges
  • Create a network of young professionals who can drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the YPP, applicants must:

  •  Be born in or based in Africa
  • Be an aspiring innovator with a passion for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship
  • Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  •  Be fluent in English
  •  Be available to commit to the 12-month program
