The School of Foundation Studies, University of Lagos hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the 2023/2024 Academic Session in the underlisted position:

Job Description
We are recruiting Teachers for the subjects listed below:

  • Accounting (Auditing, Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting)
  • Biology (Genetics, Botany, Microbiology and Zoology)
  • Business Studies (Management)
  • Chemistry (General Chemistry, Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry)
  • Christian Religious Studies (Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Religion & Society)
  • Economics (Principles of Economics and Applied Economics)
  • French (French Culture & Civilization, Oral & Basic French)
  • Geography (Physical Geography, Regional Geography, Human Geography, Map Reading/GIS)
  • Government (Element of Government and Politics, Nigerian Government and Politics, African Government and Politics, Ideologies & Process of Government and Politics)
  • History (African History, World History)
  • Igbo (Igbo Phonology, Oral Igbo Literature, Igbo Grammar and Written Igbo Literature)
  • Islamic Religious Studies (Islamic History, Hadith Studies, Quranic Studies, Tawhid & Fiqh)
  • Literature-in-English (Drama, Poetry, Prose, Literary Appreciation & Practical Criticism)
  • Mathematics (Applied Mathematics, Business Maths, Statistics, Calculus, Advanced Algebra)
  • Music (Basic Theory of Music, A Survey of African Music, Basic Musicianship and Music Appreciation).
  • Physics (Modern Physics, Electricity & Magnetism, Heat/Waves/Optics, Mechanics/Properties of Matter)
  • Visual Arts (Art History, Two Dimensional Design, Three Dimensional Design and Decorative Arts & other Craft Traditions)
  • Yoruba (Yoruba Phonology, Oral Yoruba Literature, Yoruba Grammar and Written Yoruba Literature).

Requirements

  • The position is open to interested academic staff, and registered Ph.D. students of the University of Lagos as well as other interested persons outside of the University community with a minimum of M.Sc. Degree in the chosen subject area.
