Job Summary
- We are currently seeking a highly skilled accountant to join our diverse and dynamic team. If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional proficient with accounting systems, possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for numbers, this opportunity is for you!
Responsibilities
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions and posting to relevant books of accounts
- Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct sales and expenses day book
- Extracting relevant accounts and preparing a periodic trial balance
- Monitoring financial transactions and preparing performance reports
- Processing accounts receivable, payable, and inventory management
- Performing reconciliation of cash and bank transactions
- Computing relevant taxes and liaising with consultants and auditors.
- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Prepare and analyze various reports to provide key insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices.
Key Requirements
- Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience as an Accountant in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in using collaboration and productivity tools (Teams, Gmail, etc.)
- Proficiency with Accounting packages preferably Quickbooks
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Remuneration
- N100,000 – N170,000 monthly Gross (Negotiable).
