Pro-Health International

Pro-Health International is a faith-based, non-profit organization that has provided free health care services to under-served populations in Nigeria for over 32years.CDC and USAID have funded PHI to implement HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care projects, OVC projects and Global Health security projects.

The ICHSSA-4 project is a 5-year USAID-funded award that commenced in December 2019 and will run up until December 2024. The project is being implemented by a consortium of partners, with Pro-Health International (PHI) as the lead partner and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as the sub in Adamawa, Bauchi Taraba, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbistates. The ICHSSA 4 project aims to ensurethat Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) are cared for and protected by their households, communities, local and state governments to reduce their vulnerability to HIV.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Officer (ICHSSA 4 Project)

Location: Jalingo, Taraba
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Secures premises and personnel; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
  • Obtains help by sounding alarms.
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
  • Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assists the Security Manager in implementing security policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • HND Security-related courses are an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a medium to high-risk environment
  • Must Understand Safety Management
  • Exhibit Professionalism
  • Good Reporting Skills
  • Excellent Surveillance Skills,
  • Must have good Judgment and Objectivity.
  • Must be dependable and have emotional control and Integrity.
