Women for Women International (WfWI) Nigeria

Women for Women International is an International non-governmental organization whose mandate includes providing women survivors of wars, civil strife, and other conflicts resources for survival, reducing poverty level, and ensuring their self-sufficiency. The organization, with headquarters in Washington DC, USA, has country offices in eight countries, including Nigeria. We implement a 12-month training and education program designed to improve key social and economic outcomes for the most socially excluded women. The program targets every aspect of women’s lives; health and well-being (including nutrition, hygiene & HIV/AIDS prevention and protection), economic stability, family decision-making, and social safety nets.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Business Skill Trainer

2.) Social Empowerment Trainer

3.) Vocational Skill Trainer

4.) Numeracy Skill Trainer

5.) Economic Empowerment Trainer (VSLA)

Locations: Cross River, Bauchi, Kaduna and Plateau

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or any other related discipline.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience and strong understanding and expertise in the relevant role
  • Certification in training and development is an added advantage.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, adapt training methods to different learning styles and effectively communicate with participants.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to convey information effectively and build rapport with participants.
  • Ability to engage and motivate socially excluded and disadvantaged women
  • Effective interpersonal skills for establishing a positive learning environment.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, etc. is required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve project goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages spoken in the project area is required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and spend significant time in the field.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
