We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Research Supervisor
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract
Description
- Provide technical support on the implementation of PROSSIVA banana research activities in Nigeria, with a focus on Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) technology, seed health and quality assurance.
- Ensure trials troubleshooting and data collection (spores’ density, mycorrhization index and plant growth parameters, nematode count) using digital tools.
- Perform data curation and data analysis and provide trials output.
- Contribute to research on quality assurance schemes and seed health management.
- Assist with field sample collection and processing for AMF isolation, purification, characterization and mass production.
- Assist with the AMF priming of plantain seedlings, efficacy trial design and management in the screen house and field conditions.
- Ensure nematode propagation using carrot discs for inoculum preparation for trials
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Qualification
- BSc / HND in Crop Protection, Agronomy or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

- Have excellent oral and writing communication skills in English.
- Have report writing skills.
