Job Title: Legal Intern
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees searches on letters of administration, status of incorporation etc.
- Execution and perfection of securities.
- Facilitate the implementation of all regulatory and statutory provisions Bank-wide
- Coordinate the dissemination of new regulations and statutory provisions Bank-wide
- Provide prompt legal advice to management on various issues
- Provide legal advisory services on various legal issues as may be requested
- Oversees the selection of External solicitors for the Bank
- Map out strategies for the prosecution and defence of all court cases involving the Bank
- Review and proffering opinions on all court papers to be filed
- Receive court processes from different unit/branches
- Obtain approval to commence or brief external solicitor
- Render legal support on loan recovery activities
- Liaising with Police and other law enforcement agencies during the course of their investigations
- Attend court proceedings on matters involving the Bank
- Prompt handling of all customers’ complaints
- Render legal support on all out of court settlement negotiation
- Coordinating the response to external solicitors on the Bank’s matters in court
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HOD/Unit Head
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 0-2 years work experience
- Must have been called to Bar and resident in Abuja
Salary
N53,000 / Month.
