SHIFT is a non-partisan organization that builds support for transformative leaders in communities across the nation. Launched in June 2018, we are Nigerians from all over the nation and around the world. We come from diverse religions, ethnicities, and professional backgrounds, such as technology, media, law, consulting, oil & gas, legal, NGOs, and many more.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Manager, Strategic Partnerships

Location: Abuja / Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

About the Job

  • We are looking for an experienced and passionate Strategic Partnership Manager focused on accelerating and sustaining partnerships across our programs, products, and policy areas.
  • SHIFT’s vision is to connect citizens with leaders who transform communities. This is a full-time, paid position located in Lagos or Abuja, Nigeria.
  • The role will require periodic travel (25%) to other parts of the country.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop systems and best practices for recruiting new partners and cultivating existing partners
  • Develop and implement strategies, and tactics with core partners to achieve the greatest success in mobilizing and organizing for greater impact
  • Build a partnership strategy to grow existing partnerships, and identify new areas of growth in revenue sources
  • Collaborate with the internal communications and marketing team to create and execute personalized communications and engagement plans for partners (including individual donors, entertainers, organizations, and influencers in Nigeria and the Diaspora.
  • Meet established metrics and partnership engagement goals; track progress to goals and monitor success
  • Support other SHIFT programs and teams on special projects related to the development and implementation of campaigns
  • Work with other SHIFT programs and teams on meeting funding goals related to partnerships

Qualifications / Work Experience and Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree or Training in Business, Political Science, Marketing, Law or related degrees
  • Must have worked in Marketing, Consulting, Social Enterprise, International Development, NGOs, Civil Society or related environment.

Requirements:

  • Love for Country and Nigerian communities
  • A minimum of three years of program management experience; with an emphasis on managing partners, programs or large campaigns.
  • High level of comfort with using technology to support organizing (Google Tools, email platforms, social media platforms, etc)
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice issues and understanding of challenges facing communities across the nation
  • A passion and commitment to democratic principles and making Nigeria great
  • Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude.
  • Preference for candidates who have worked in social organizations or social campaigns
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Experience working with teams or organizations outside Nigeria
  • Comfort in a rapidly changing virtual work environment (SHIFT is still very much a startup)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Salary

  • N120,000 – N150,000 monthly.
