Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) – Buoyed by a mission to redefine customer experience and be the provider of choice wherever energy is consumed, the Ikeja Electric (IE), Nigeria’s largest power distribution network, came into existence on November 1st, 2013 following the handover of the defunct Power Holding Company Of Nigeria (PHCN) to NEDC/ KEPCO Consortium under the privatization scheme of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Energy Sales Representative

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Energy Sales Supervisor

Role Purpose

  • This role is responsible for performing sales and marketing of electricity, accounting for energy delivered and driving collections of energy billed to the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationship on issues such as meter reading and customer record validation.
  • Monitor Post Paid (PPM) machines physically when the need arises.
  • Monitor meter readings through MRS app.
  • Coordinate with other department in managing customer complaints on meter reading activities.
  • Perform on site activities/monitoring with regards to installed meters.
  • Supervise the Disconnection / Re-connection (DCRC) team.
  • Perform cash drive activities.
  • Recommend tariff using IE application – I.E force.
  • Capture new customer and periodically engage in tariff reclassification for customers.
  • Customer accounts maintenance to avoid build-up of unrealistic debts (vacant premises, etc).
  • Assist in carrying out other duties as requested by the commercial manager/ Undertaking manage and Energy Sales Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • First Degree (B.Sc or H.N.D) in Marketing, Social Sciences or any relevant field
  • Minimum 1-year field experience in sales and marketing
  • Understanding of the peculiar revenue collection challenges of the energy industry
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
