International Breweries Plc is a proud part of the AB InBev family, a world’s leading brewer. International Breweries Plc was incorporated in December 1971 under the name International Breweries Limited. The Company commenced production of its flagship product Trophy Lager in December 1978 with an installed capacity of 200,000 hectoliters per annum.

In December 1982, the Company embarked on an expansion programme. The company was listed on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in April 1995. The corporate headquarters of the Company is located in Lagos. Starting with just two brands, Trophy Lager and Beta malt, our brand offering now includes Budweiser, Hero Lager, Castle lite, Grandmalt, Eagler Lager and Eagle Stout.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Distribution Team Leader

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full-time

Overall Purpose of the Function

  • An opportunity exists for a highly skilled and results-driven Distribution Team Leaders, in Logistics Port Harcourt Plant reporting to the Distribution Controller.
  • The incumbent will control distribution operations to satisfy customer service needs while optimizing the utilization of company assets and the department’s performance in order to meet standards and remain competitive.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Load planning and truck allocation
  • Order execution tracking and escalation
  • VPO/DPO implementation
  • Daily driver debriefing
  • Customer engagement
  • SCT planning and execution
  • Control delivery schedules
  • Assure product quality
  • Analyze and respond to distribution performance measures
  • Leverage customer relationships
  • Monitor fleet availability
  • Support Sales function
  • Apply administration systems and procedures
  • Leverage information systems

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / B.Tech / HND in a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain function
  • Good MS Office proficiency
  • Assertiveness and creativity
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Methodical record keeper
  • Ability to work effectively in team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage self
