Job Title: Rigger / Technologist (Technical Services)
Locations: Warri – Delta, Port Harcourt – Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Site survey and planning for the installation of telecommunication equipment.
- Installation and decommissioning of telecommunication cables and equipment
- Installation, relocation and removal of tower-mounted equipment
- Working at heights on a range of telecommunications structures including poles, towers, masts and buildings to install antennas, feeders and ancillary equipment
- Erection and fixing of steel structures to facilitate the installation of telecommunications equipment
- Erection and fixing of steel structures to facilitate the installation of telecommunications equipment
- Termination of telecommunications cables of various types and sizes;
- Testing of cables for compliance with specifications
- Working with cranes, cherry pickers and EWP’s as required to carrying out works on site
- Conducting site audits
- Coordination of manual labour services on project sites
- Plans network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site; preparing an installation diagram.
- Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions.
- Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
Qualifications
Education / Experience:
- Trade certificate or Diploma (OND) in Information Technology / Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 12 years of work experience.
Professional Certification:
- Rigging Certifications at different levels.
