About University of Uyo (UNIUYO)

University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is located in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The university was formerly known as the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS). On October 1st, 1991 the Federal Government of Nigeria established it as a federal university and the name was changed to the University of Uyo. The university inherited students, staff, academic programmes and the entire facilities of the erstwhile University of Cross River State established by Cross River State in 1983. Academic activities commenced during the 1991/92 academic session. UNIUYO has 12 faculties, the postgraduate school and the school of continuing Education.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Director of Sports
Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Qualification and Experience

Candidate shall possess a degree in Physical Education plus 18 years post qualification cognate experience.
He/she should have coaching experience in a specified sport or game or possession of a higher degree in Administration of Sports with 12 years coaching experience and administration of sports.

Salary

CONTISS 14 (N1,831,708 – N2,392,572) annually.

Conditions of Service:

The conditions attached to the positions are generally applicable in the Nigerian University system and in the public service of Nigeria and as may. from time to time, be determined by the University Governing Council.
The appointment shall be on such terms and conditions as may be specified on his/her letter of appointment.
